Sharing life with others

Jesus said “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”.

HOSPITALITY

Jesus had some really specific things to say about hospitality. He said that whenever we put on a feast, we are to invite the poor, the foreigner, and anyone who might be marginalized and to treat them as honoured guests. We're seeking to take that seriously at St Mark's. Part of our vision is to see people from many nations and backgrounds finding life in Jesus.

Food Garden

We have a thriving garden. Volunteers meet on a Saturday morning, and food is given to the Salvo’s for distribution to those doing it tough.

We also enjoy picnics, breakfasts and lots of other gatherings centered around food and hospitality. Click here to find out what’s coming next!

REACHING OUT

As well as welcoming people to church, Jesus calls us to meet people where they are at. He said “whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me”. Jesus identified with the sick, those in prison and those who are in need. One of our goals is to help people find their ‘sweet spot’ where they can use their skills and interests in the service of others. This can include:

Prison Fellowship

We have a number of volunteers who visit men and women in prison, as well as others who write regular letters. We welcome former prisoners to join with us as we seek to know Jesus more and more.
